Computer Technician - Level 1

NIT (Network Information Technologies) is looking for a Level 1 Technician to join our growing team. We are a family owned and operated managed service provider located in Green Brook, NJ. Strong values and a client centered approach has provided us the good fortune of serving NJ businesses with IT partnership for 20 years. Our clients span the map of New Jersey and range from schools to law firms. Applicants must be comfortable with the fulfilling the following responsibilities. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Basic technical troubleshooting  

  • Perform routine checks on client systems  

  • Documentation on issues and resolutions  

  • Act as point of contact for customers on system and network-related issues  

  • Ensure customers are updated in a timely manner through ticketing system and emails  

  • Follow predefined escalation processes.  

  • Progress customer issues/customer advocate.  

Required Skills: 

  • Strong professional written/oral communications  

  • Positive, no quit attitude 

  • Flexibility around day-to-day responsibilities 

  • Reliable vehicle and willingness to commute daily 

  • Drug Test & Background Check  

Preferred (not required) Skills:  

  • 1 year+ in a customer support environment  

  • 1 year+ working with a ticketing system  

  • CCNA or Comptia Network+  

  • RF setup/troubleshooting 

  • VOIP troubleshooting 

  • Google Suite Administrator
