Middlesex Holiday Drive

This holiday season, Network Information Technologies (NIT) proudly joined the Middlesex Holiday Drive, an initiative founded by Mike D'Angola of Yolo Promo. With a mission to give back to those less fortunate in Middlesex County, the drive collects toys, coats, books, and gift cards to bring warmth and joy to the community.

Collaboration for a Cause

The drive was a collective effort, organized by Mike D’Angola in partnership with NIT, The State Theater in New Brunswick, and the Rotary Club of Greater New Brunswick. Together, we worked to support four outstanding organizations: Fish Inc., CASA - Middlesex County, The Salvation Army in New Brunswick and Elijah's Promise.

Our Role: A Tech Twist on Giving

At NIT, we wanted to add a special touch to the initiative. From December 2nd to December 16th, we hosted a raffle for a brand-new 17.3" HP Touchscreen Laptop. The raffle attracted 26 participants and raised $830 for CASA Middlesex, a nonprofit dedicated to advocating for children in out-of-home placements.

In addition to the raffle, our team helped set up donation boxes, collected toys, and delivered them to the benefiting organizations. It was inspiring to see the community come together for such a meaningful cause.

Exceeding Expectations

We’re thrilled to share that the fundraiser aspect of this Holiday Drive exceeded our goals. With an original target of $500, we surpassed it by 66%, raising $830 through 83 tickets sold. This success is a testament to the generosity of our community and the dedication of everyone involved.

Reflections and Gratitude

This experience reminded us of the power of collective action. As we supported these incredible organizations, we saw firsthand how much of a difference they make in our community. While there are no current plans for similar initiatives, we’re committed to finding more ways to give back in the future.
